Frank Coker, Senior Helpers in the Triangle

Frank is the owner of Senior Helpers in the Triangle, providing both companion and personal home care for seniors. He is a graduate of Duke University, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Frank has a long history in healthcare, including assisted living and drug & alcohol rehab. He is an active member of the AHHC Government Affairs Committee, has helped write North Carolina's licensure rules for companion and sitter services, is the past president of North Raleigh AARP, and is a member of the Morrisville Rotary.

Tobi Bowen, Instinctive Branding Inc.

Tobi is the president of Instinctive Branding, a full-service brand focused organization that works with clients to grow their business and brand through printed literature, internet presence, social media presence, promotional product sourcing, and complete marketing programs. She also serves as the Executive Director of Silltrist, a non-profit organization based in Durham.

She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in psychology and was in nonprofit management for 19 years with Resources for Seniors, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Diabetes Association and The Muscular Dystrophy Association in roles from Community Development to Executive Director. She serves on the board of Women's Business Owners Network of Cary. Originally from NJ, she moved to the Triangle 16 years ago and lives in Wake Forest.

 

Linda Van Voorhis Olson, Senior Helpers of the Triangle

Linda is the director of Senior Helpers, an agency whose focus is on quality of life for seniors and their families.  Utilizing her background in social work, counseling, and education, she seeks to share information with family members, caregivers, and the community concerning the care of seniors with cognitive impairment and memory disorder. She also manages the day-to-day business operations of the agency, which employs companion and personal care full- and part-time aides. She is the mom of two teenagers, cares for her mom, and in her free time enjoys photography and time with friends.

 

 

Paul Immanuel, Immanuel Consulting Services

Paul Immanuel is a long time resident of North Carolina who retired from IBM in 2009. During his 25 year career at IBM, he held several positions in development of networking products and workflow management systems. Prior to working for IBM, he worked for ITT in Raleigh where he developed fiber optic transmission systems for telephone companies. Paul has experience in hardware and software technologies and has presented papers extensively in North America and Europe dealing with issues related to hardware and software development. Paul is an electrical engineering graduate of North Carolina State University and has completed graduate level computerscience and electrical engineering courses under an IBM program. Paul immigrated to the United States (and North Carolina) in 1964. He is married to Phyllis, a Raleigh native and they have two grown twins, Camille and Heather. Both of their daughters are in the medical profession. Paul's love for helping seniors comes from his experience with helping Phyllis with taking care of her parents towards the end of their lives. Paul is active in church and community activities in Durham. Paul is currently CEO of Immanuel Consulting, a company that helps organizations and individuals save money through the use of technology.
